Gear Review #02
I was on the Dickey Ridge Trail today trying out a few new items, and re-trying a few that I've used before.
First are a pair of Lowa hiking boots. I tested these months ago, and I recall liking them... but... today there was discomfort in my ankles. I much prefer my low cut Altra Lone Peak Trail runners over these boots.
Next up is my Smartwool Active long sleeve merino shirt. These take comfort to a whole different level. I was also rocking my Grateful Dead Buff (which I wear pretty much daily).
Instead of my "go to" Osprey Skarab 24L backpack, I went out today with the Kavu Slurp Sling. A liter Smart Water bottle fits perfectly! I'll be upgrading my hydration bottles in the very near future to the Cnoc Thrubottle. I see this water sling being used often on future adventures. I was also sporting a pair of Darn Tough AT Edition hiking socks!
New Silly sleepwear for when the day is done!
